As part of the digital campaign for the release of her second album ‘Wounded Rhymes’, Atlantic Records UK’s artist Lykke Li will deliver to all supporters a cross-platform virtual fan club. Combining all Lykke Li’s online fan communities in one single arena, the Mobile Backstage-enabled system gives fans the possibility to interact from everywhere.

Grammy awarded alternative rock band Muse chose Finnish direct-to-fan service Mobile Backstage as a winner in the GSM Association’s Band App Audition. The challenge was designed to inspire developers to create mobile apps for world-leading music artists seeking innovative ways to interact directly with their fans.

Steam Republic’s Trade Minister Paavo Bäckman was interviewed about ongoing financing round by mergermarket, an independent Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) intelligence service and part of the Financial Times Group.

Steam Republic is initiating a large-scale financing round to fund our fast growth in the international markets. Our financing round is scheduled to end in fall 2010 and we are primarily choosing suitable investors from up to € 5 Million investments.

Steam Republic has been heavily engaged in exploring various business events in Helsinki and Tampere in the past week to develop it’s existing network and create new connections within the local and international business community.

Prime Minister Janne Airo and Trade Minister Paavo Bäckman returned home safely from their 3 day business expedition in Germany, where they negotiated partnership treaties with several parties regarding Steam Republic’s first product, Mobile Backstage. The adventure was a rewarding success and active negotiations shall be continued with many of the partner candidates acquired.

As of today, September 30th 2009, the company formerly known as Backstage Alliance Ltd (or Oy for the fellow Finns) will operate as an independent company under the new name of Steam Republic.
